I have finally figured out why The Little Mermaid has always been my favorite Disney Princess. 🧜🏻‍♀️

If you’ve never seen the movie, let me give you a quick rundown.

Ariel is a bright eyed dreamer teenager with an incredibly overprotective, yet loving father. She wants to be so much more than what she sees around her. She dreams big and loves hard.

Her father, scared for her to grow up & knowing what the world has to offer, keeps a tight leash. Long story short - she sells her voice for man.

😳 My word, that's me. I am that bright eyed girl whose dreams were never validated. I am that girl who had more doubt than drive. I've done it all. In fact, I have sold my voice in the past, quite frankly, for much less. But God, has allowed me to find my voice again. His voice. THAT, my friends, is what WV Women Made is all about.

It’s a second chance to have my voice back, and help change the world, in the way that God has equipped ME to do. AND just as awesome as that, it’s also allowing people to help the vision in the ways THEY were equipped.

There is literally no explanation for what is happening with this organization {and let me tell you how ridiculous it sounds to me to call it an organization}. It started out as one singular event (barely 2 months ago), to help a very deserving group of women make a few bucks during a really tough economic time. That includes me. In case you didn’t know, I am also the founder and owner of mcclanaHANDMADE (www.mcclanahandmade.com). Luckily, it is more of a second income for us. But I realize that’s not the case for most of these incredibly passionate small business owners.

The majority of these amazing women are supporting their families in big and small ways through the businesses that they have started from scratch. I cannot tell you how humbled I am that they trust me with even the smallest bit of their dream.

That’s why the heart and the soul of this organization is to help, unite, and empower women who have all started their own businesses from the ground up doing what God has equipped THEM to do. And it's not just about THEM now, it's about THEM to come. My daughter - your daughter & her daughter & her granddaughter...

I encourage all women to take pride and take part in what's going on here - not a small business owner? HA - do you run your household of husband + kids + pets + life + in laws + etc - yeah, you're qualified to help. Get involved. E-mail me direct at wemakewv@gmail.com - I can tell you how to get involved.
